Tienda Boholana: Family cooking turned successful business
By: Dianne Rallon
In 2004, Tienda Boholana, a bakery from Dauis, Bohol that makes the famous peanut crunch, availed of CVED's business advising, through the help of volunteer adviser, Margaret Gravador. Being mentored on the aspects of marketing the product, packaging, pricing, dressing up their display area, Hedeliza, Tienda's owner, realized that there are indeed innovative in bringing her products to the market. Re-packaging and advertising her business became the key factors for Tienda's rebirth.
With CVED's business advisory assistance, Tienda Boholana was able to continue a family tradition of cooking into a successful business that has already posted 300% growth of sales today. Hedeliza knows that passion and determination will see her through for years.
