Trailbazing Corporate Citizenship
Practice
As corporate citizenship spreads, pioneering organizations like
PBSP become guides for those who are new to the practice of CSR.
PBSP will blaze the trail for the corporate citizen. As the collective
business response, it continues to discover new areas where member
corporations can meaningfully express their CSR.
It is making itself into a resource for the business sector to tap
in developing their CSR. It links with other sectors in the Philippine
society and with other CSR advocates worldwide to send the message
that PBSP, as a unique Filipino CSR initiative, is enlarging the
concrete participation of corporate citizens in social development.

“These
plans… will not in and of themselves achieve the results
we hope for. PBSP can only succeed with the undiminished support
and consistent commitment of member companies. We need them
to stand firm—to remain active and patient— because
it is precisely in challenging periods such as these that
society needs the most support.
