PBSP awards road, drainage and multi-purpose center to STEP-UP community

The Foundation’s Strategic Private Partnership for Urban Poverty Reduction (STEP-UP) Program turned over road, drainage and
multi-purpose center to the 160 household members of San Miguel Phase III Homeowners Association (HOA) in Barangay Fortune, Marikina City on July 28, 2006.

Among those who graced the ceremony included Pacific Paint (Boysen) Philippines’ Mr. Johnson Ongking, Angelo King Foundation’s President Mr. Teddy Kingsu, PCGG’s Mr. Gerry Ledonio, Marikina City Mayor Marides Fernando, Congressman
Del de Guzman and Councilor Marcelino Teodoro.

This effort was sponsored by Angelo King Foundation, Inc., Pacific Paint (Boysen) Philippines and the Asian Development Bank
through the Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction.

TCG’s project management training benefits business support organizations

The Foundation’s Training and Consulting Group (TCG) conducted
the Project Development implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation (PDIME) course to 29 executive directors and key staff from
business support organizations nationwide.

The business support organizations are assisted by the Private Enterprise Accelerated Resource Linkages Phase II (PEARL 2) project. PEARL 2 was designed to support SME development. The PDIME course was customized to improve the skills of participants especially in project monitoring and evaluation, accessing project funds and developing project proposals.
