Mindanao Regional Operations

PBSP believes that in its work against poverty, it has to be close to where the problem lies: the provinces.

In 1989, regional operation in Mindanao was launched. In the context of the recent developments in the area, the decision to decentralize has been a bold policy direction. The PBSP Board of Trustees, recognized that there is an urgent need for conflict areas to catch up with the development of the rest of Mindanao and lay the foundation of peace.

It was clear that through its regional operations, greater impact will be seen in the communities.
