The online Plastics Sustainability Education Modules were produced to help address problems
On April 28, 2022, Dow Chemical Philippines, in partnership with Center for Integrated STEM Education, Inc. (CISTEM), and Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) launched the online Plastics Sustainability Education Modules.
Developed by the environment academics and sustainability plastics experts from Philippines, Hong Kong, and Thailand, the Plastics Sustainability Education Modules called “Sustainability of Plastics – From Wasteful to Useful” consist of Solid Waste Management, Waste and Impact on the Environment, Plastics and Climate Change, Plastics Circular Economy Solution, and Roles and Responsibilities to Prevent Plastic Waste and Pollution.
The modules will be uploaded and maintained in a Learning Management System (LMS) which can be accessed by teachers and learners from any location in the Philippines and around the globe.
The online Plastics Sustainability Education Modules were produced to help address problems in plastic waste management, raise awareness in the looming effects of climate change, and eventually encourage the change in behavior and to spark action amongst people, especially the youth. This can be done by doing the first step, which is giving them access to information and education.
