Intellicare, PBSP launch Safe Motherhood Caravan year eight

PBSP, in partnership with Asalus Corporation (Intellicare), launched the 8th year of the Safe Motherhood Caravan (SMC) at the Lapu-Lapu City Hoops Dome in Cebu today.

The event assisted more than 160 mothers and women of reproductive age (WRA) on family planning, pre and post-natal consultations, exclusive breastfeeding and vaccination services through the assistance of Lapu-Lapu City Health Office department through its head, Dr. Agnes Realiza and family planning coordinator Ivy Amistad.

Dubbed as “Babae: Malusog. Ligtas. Handa,” the Safe Motherhood Program is one of PBSP’s flagship programs that aims to educate women of reproductive age (WRAs) on life-saving maternal and child health information such as pre- and post-natal consultations, facility-based delivery, exclusive breastfeeding, responsible parenthood, and family planning.
