PBSP WRAAP, Embassy of Canada in the Philippines visit Igorota Foundation, Inc.

Officials from the Embassy of Canada in the Philippines, led by Ambassador Peter MacArthur, met with representatives of Igorota Foundation Inc. (IFI) and the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) on June 20, 2022.

During the meeting, Ms. Ronalyn Butil, Executive Director of IFI highlighted their continuing support to indigenous people's communities in Benguet, including assistance to build institutional capacities of local women's organizations.

The project with IFI is among the 48 initiatives that have received funding under the Women's Fund Facility (WFF) of the (WRAAP) funded by the government of Canada, which seeks to increase the quality of life for women and girls, and the advancement of gender equality in the Philippines. The Project, which is national in scope, focuses on providing support for Women’s Rights Organizations (WROs) and Women’s Rights Networks (WRNs) to strengthen their work and continue their advocacy in eliminating barriers that limit the full realization of women and girls’ rights in the country.
