Philippine Greenpreneurs Project (PGP) being implemented by PBSP aims to address challenges that hinder sustained and inclusive development of rural communities.
Groundbreaking ceremonies of the processing facilities of the assisted cooperatives and MSMEs – Bigaan Agrarian Reform Community Organization (BARCO), Pakyas Rural Improvement Club (PARIC), Malubay Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association (MARBA) and Samahan Ng Mga Manggagawa Sa Balatasan (SAMASABALATASAN) --- were held in Oriental Mindoro. This is part of Global Green Growth Institute’s 2-year Philippine Greenpreneurs Project (PGP) being implemented by PBSP. PGP aims to address challenges that hinder sustained and inclusive development of rural communities.
To assist the MSMEs, the project also formed its Private Sector Advisory Group consisting of representatives from Marine Algae Production, Inc., Soyuz Foods, Inc., Virgin Coconut Oil Producer and Association of the Philippines, GH Nutripharma, Inc./Binhibiofarm Co., Paglas Corporation, Polyfruits, Inc. and AG Pacific Nutriceuticals Corporation.
PBSP members were joined by KOICA Country Director Mr. Eunsub Kim and Assistant Country Director Mr. Takgun Lee and the GGGI Country Representative Mr. Juhern Kim. On the part of the Provincial Government, the Governor was represented by his Provincial Administrator Dr. Hubbert Christopher A. Dolor, the Local Government Units led by the Municipal Mayors, the DTI, PAGO and DOST.
The Rizal Multipurpose Cooperative was chosen as the recipient of the intervention under the More With Less (MWL) in the Philippine Coconut Industry Project.
