PBSP ACCESS TB provide free TB screening in Caloocan City

PBSP ACCESS TB, together with the Local Government Unit of Caloocan, and Metro Manila Center for Health Development, deployed a Mobile Chest X-ray to more than five health centers in Caloocan City.

The residents of Bagumbong Health Center Main, Bagumbong Health Center Dulo, Bagong Barrio Zone 1 Health Center, Baesa Health Center, and Malaria Health Center were given access to free chest X-ray and TB screening as part of the active case finding activity of PBSP ACCESS TB and Innovations for Community Health (ICH). A total of 465 individuals were screened and 81 presumptive TB patients underwent sputum test using the GeneXpert machine.

This ACF initiative will be conducted in various health centers until October 28, 2021 to cater to a maximum of 1,600 individuals in Caloocan City.

PBSP ACCESS TB continuously supports the case-finding activity of the Department of Health-National TB Control Program (DOH-NTP) to find the missing people with TB.
