An employee-volunteer makes handmade Thank You cards for frontliners and healthcare workers
The pandemic highlighted the importance of our frontliners and healthcare workers in keeping our communities and families safe. However, the resurging number of COVID-19 cases is also putting a toll on their health and wellbeing.
To thank and encourage our frontliners and health care workers, a Citi employee-volunteer makes handmade cards with heartwarming messages. To date, at least 400 cards were sent to various hospitals and quarantine facilities in Metro Manila.
"I wanted to give them a little bit of cheer in my own little way. They sacrifice their own life and the time they could have spent with their family in order to help cure those that are stricken with the virus. The effort I put in making these cards pale in comparison to the sacrifices that they make," said Maia Capule.
