Mr. Ramon del Rosario Jr. is the president and chief executive officer of Philippine Investment Management (PHINMA), Inc. and PHINMA Corporation. He is also the chairman of Trans-Asia Power Generation Corp., Trans-Asia Renewable Energy Corp., Trans-Asia Petroleum Corp., Palawan55 Exploration & Production Corporation, One Subic Power Generation Corporation, CIP II Power Corporation, Araullo University, Cagayan De Oro College, University of Iloilo, University of Pangasinan, United Pulp and Paper Co., Inc., Microtel Inns and Suites (Pilipinas), Inc., Microtel Development Corp., Paramount Building Management & Services Corp., Fuld & Co., Inc., Fuld & Co., (Philippines), Inc., and vice chairman of PHINMA Property Holdings Corp., Trans-Asia Oil & Energy Development Corporation.
Mr. del Rosario also serves as director for Union Galvasteel Corp., Ayala Corporation, and South Luzon Thermal Energy Corp and holds various positions in different professional, civic, and educational organizations such as the chairmanship of Philippines-U.S. Business Council, Integrity Initiative, as well as the vice chairmanship of the Board of Trustees of Makati Business Club, Philippine Business for Education (PBEd), Caritas Manila, and Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of PinoyMe Foundation, Philippine Disaster Recovery Foundation (PDRF), and De La Salle University, and also a member of the Board of Advisors of Ramon del Rosario, Sr. – AIM Center for Corporate Social Responsibility, Ramon del Rosario, Sr. – C.V. Starr Center for Corporate Governance, Harvard Business School Asia-Pacific Advisory Board, World Bank Civil Society Organization (CSO) Advisory Council, and Harvard Business School Club of the Philippines.
He is the past president of the Management Association of the Philippines and the Harvard Business School Association of the Philippines.
Mr. del Rosario is the recipient of various awards and recognitions such as the Ten Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) of the Philippines in the Field of Investment Banking and Finance in 1978, Presidential Citation for Outstanding Service as Secretary of Finance, Benigno S. Aquino, Jr. Nationalism Award, and Management Man of the Year 2010 from the Management Association of the Philippines.
He graduated as valedictorian in grade school and high school at the De La Salle College, Manila where he also took BSC-Accounting, AB-Social Sciences and finished magna cum laude in 1967.
He also received honorary doctorate degrees from various universities – a Doctor of Humanities from the Ateneo de Zamboanga University and a Doctor of Laws from the University of St. La Salle.
