Global Affairs Canada (GAC) visits the Laguna Human Milk Bank facility established through the partnership of LATCH Los Baños, the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), and the Provincial Government of Laguna.
GAC through the Women’s Rights, Action, and Advocacy Project (WRAAP) of PBSP, supports the Project EMBRACE of LATCH which advocates for community engagement and provides support for breastfeeding mothers and their families.
Present in the meeting are Southeast Asia and Oceania Division 1 Deputy Director of Global Affairs Canada, Mr. Mark Mostovac, from the Embassy of Canada, First Secretary Mr. Stephane Duval, and Project Officer Ivy Lecitona, PBSP Executive Director Elvin Ivan Uy, Executive Assistant Kiana Porras, and WRAAP's Luzon Program Officer Rashia Lubuguin, representatives from LATCH, Armi Baticados, Vanessa Liwanag-Librero, and Joy Barachina-Lojo, and representative from UPLB Mr. Bryan Oliveros.
In the project closeout ceremony for the Women's Rights, Action and Advocacy Project, PBSP and Global Affairs Canada recognized 73 partner Women's Rights Organizations and Women's Rights Networks for their dedication and contribution to the advancement of women's rights in the Philippines.
