PhilPacific Insurance Brokers and Managers, Inc. (Philinsure), together with Philippine Business for Social Progress, launched the Supplemental Feeding Program ‘NutriSapat, Batang Angat,’ in support to the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (2017-2022) at Barangay San Luis in Antipolo City.
There are 30 wasted and undernourished children who will be part of the program of Philinsure and PBSP. The Supplemental Feeding Program helps improve the health, growth, and development of the undernourished children in the community by providing them supplemental dietary support for 120 days or six months.
This year marks the first partnership of PBSP and Philinsure for the Supplemental Feeding Program with the support from the local government unit of Antipolo City and 20 employee-volunteers of Philinsure. The Hershey Company and PBSP launch Year 5 of “Nourishing Minds -The Filipino Way." The project, established in 2015, aims to support the UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) 2 to end hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture, and SDG 3 to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for malnourished children in the Baseco, Manila.
