Sandy Noche, a staunch advocate of STEM education, data storyteller, strategist, and trainer who has a decade's worth of experience in supply chain analytics, project management, and operational excellence was the guest speaker and mentor for May 13 and June 3 sessions.
Dr. Kim Ivan Mendoza, a degree holder in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of the Philippines – Diliman, and currently working as a laboratory researcher and radiology doctor in the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) graced the event as guest speaker and volunteer mentor for the June 17 and 24 sessions.
STEM Education for Sustainability is one of PBSP’s current projects for education that showcases sustainability in STEM and introduce STEM as an exciting field of study and a rewarding future career path for the Filipino youth. This program highlights STEM’s contribution to sustainability and the achievement of SDGs and aims to instill its importance to younger generations.
The learning session discussed the general overview of generative AI and its concepts including some of the underlying technologies, applications, use cases, and the potential benefits for users, as well as understanding its ethical considerations including transparency, bias, and privacy.
