PBSP ends 2023 with activities for its EPR Program

PBSP, a Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO), concluded 2023 with activities for its Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Program. With its twenty-seven (27) Obliged Enterprises (OEs), the team visited Maronquillo National High School in San Rafael, Bulacan, and San Isidro Elementary School in Rodriguez, Rizal, to officially turnover donated upcycled chairs. Each school received forty-five (45) chairs produced in partnership with Sentinel UpCycling Technologies.

The visit to Maronquillo NHS was warmly welcomed by Mr. Richard Bagtas, the school principal, and teachers. The turnover ceremony prepared by the entire school community featured dance performances by its students. Mayor Mark Cholo Violago of San Rafael, Bulacan also attended the event.

San Isidro Elementary School was visited the following day for the formal turnover of another set of Nestlé Tibay Chairs. A program was held where Mr. Jimmy Concepcion of Sentinel UpCycling delivered a discussion about the process of upcycling. The team then proceeded to Sitio Pintor, a community situated in Barangay San Isidro, Rizal, where the majority of families earn their livelihood through waste picking or "pangangalakal." Together with its OEs, PBSP distributed gift packs to twenty (20) families.
