PBSP's RiceAid campaign provides families with rice assistance during the pandemic
Three weeks ago, PBSP launched its RiceAid campaign to provide rice to families affected by the pandemic. We were able to raise P1.42M donations from PBSP member companies and partners. SEAOIL also donated fuel for the transport of rice to the beneficiary communities.
Yesterday, we distributed an initial 2,025 packs of 10 kg rice for families in Cavite and Metro Manila. Priority families were identified by partner organizations Samahan ng Nagkakaisang Pamilya ng Pantawid (SNPP) and Kasagana Ka Development Center.
The RiceAid campaign sources the rice from local farmers from the Saradit na Kristyanong Komunidad (SKK) in Libmanan, Camarines Sur and through Cropital/SMART for farmers assisted in Balungao, Pangasinan.
