Last March 18, 2026, PBSP held a partner recognition event at Astoria Plaza Ortigas in Pasig City for its Renewable Energy (RE) partners and switchers and X-Trash awardees.

Dow Chemical Philippines is in the process of switching one of its facilities to run on 100% clean energy through the Green Energy Option Program (GEOP).

“Transitioning to renewable energy is not just an environmental decision—it’s a business opportunity to lead with purpose and create lasting impact. Taiyo Yuden was also recognized as it is currently constructing a roof-mounted solar facility in its new production plant.
Meanwhile, McDonald's is transitioning 200 branches through the Retail Aggregation Program (RAP), committing to 15% renewable energy in their overall energy mix, and with six stores currently in the process of switching to GEOP.
The event also lauded key Renewable Energy partners including the Department of Energy, who provided technical expertise in PBSP’s nationwide renewable energy campaign sessions. The awardees included Renewable Energy Suppliers ACEN RES, AdventEnergy, and Shell Energy Philippines, as well as Distribution Utilities Meralco, VECO, and Davao Light.
