Leading the Way in Waste: Accenture Tops X-Trash Challenge Year 4

In celebration of Earth Day 2025, PBSP proudly wrapped up the X-Trash Challenge Year 4 Awarding Ceremony and officially launched Year 5 yesterday at the BEST Facility in Pasay City.

Since 2021, PBSP and Basic Environmental Systems and Technologies (BEST) have been working hand in hand to promote waste segregation at source and community-driven sustainability initiatives through the X-Trash Challenge. This unique program also empowers employee volunteers from PBSP member companies to collect recyclables, convert them into environmental points through BEST’s Trash to Cashback Program, and use the proceeds to support their chosen public schools and communities.

All participating challengers finished strong with a total collection of 118,342.87 kg of recyclables equivalent to 379,574.34 environmental points from April 1, 2024 to September 20, 2024.

Congratulations to all our 19 member company challengers, with these companies earning the Top 3 Environmental Champion spots -- Accenture in the Philippines, Meralco and BDO Unibank. Bangko Kabayan was also given a special citation as the company with the most number of employees involved in the Challenge.
