Last March 18, PBSP, in partnership with Basic Environmental Systems & Technologies, Inc., recognized the X-Trash Year 5 Challengers held at Astoria Plaza in Pasig.
A total of 13 challengers earned 207,750.86 environmental points through their participation in the program, demonstrating their commitment to sustainability and responsible waste management.
This year’s top performers were Accenture in the Philippines in first place, Meralco in second, and BDO Unibank in third.

The other organizations recognized for their contributions include A. Magsaysay, Inc., Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc., Bangko Kabayan, Dow Chemical Philippines, Inc., Fluor Daniel Inc. Philippines, NEO Property Management Incorporated, PLDT, Shell Pilipinas Corporation, Smart Communications, Inc., and Standard Chartered Bank.
Since the inception of the X-Trash Challenge in 2021, participating companies have collected a total of 608,354.24 kilograms of recyclable materials, earning a cumulative 2,032,108.38 environmental points. Through this initiative, these companies have not only promoted sustainability but have also supported their adopted public schools and communities.
