PBSP together with BaiAni Foundation Inc., Lionheart Farms Philippines Corporation, and Philippine Coconut Authority conducted a three-day training in Biochar Production and Business Case. The training was composed of coconut cooperatives and associations in the municipalities of Rizal, Brooke's Point, and Sofronio Española, and Lionheart Farms Philippines Corporation (ECAM & Farm Operations).

The training aims to foster an understanding of how crucial it is for Biochar farmers to be able to produce and use Biochar using straightforward methods, as well as to operate within the designed operating framework of a Biochar Community Enterprise, which includes applications for Biochar in organic farming for both crops and livestock, building materials, and personal care.

Funded by the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA), under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, More with Less (MWL) is a five-year project, implemented in Palawan, Quezon, and Lanao del Norte that aims to contribute to Sustainable Development Goal No. 8 by stimulating higher levels of economic activity in the coconut sector through technological upgrading and innovation, and by focusing on safe and labor-intensive production of high-value added products from coconut sap.
