NEO employee-volunteers participated in the tree planting activity held at Sitio Libis, San Ysiro, Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City, Rizal. PBSP, the volunteers, with the assistance of Malayang Samahan ng mga Katutubo ng Antipolo, planted a total of 1,250 seedlings of Kape, Narra, Cacao, Guyabano, and Lipote to cover a two-hectare reforestation site.
This activity is implemented under PBSP’s continuing watershed rehabilitation efforts in the Upper Marikina River Basin Protected Landscape or the Marikina Watershed which begun in 2010 following the devastation caused by Typhoon Ondoy in 2009.
