MIESCOR Logistics, Inc. (MLI) partnered again with PBSP to assist Project 3 Elementary School in Quezon City through the use of its accumulated funds from the Motolite-PBSP Balik-Baterya Program.

The project aimed to improve the learning environment in the selected school beneficiary through the provision of 300 Adarna storybooks, 90 Sentinel upcycled classroom chairs, bottles of disinfectants, and face masks for students and teachers.

The turnover ceremony was attended by business unit heads of Miescor led by its Vice-President and General Manager, Mr. Joel San Miguel, Project 3 Elementary School representatives led by its Principal, Dr. Ryan Atezora, and PBSP team led by Ms. Khairon Niza Magundacan, Corporate Citizenship and CSR Manager.

The Motolite-PBSP Balik Baterya Program, started in 2006, aims to address the harmful effects of Used Lead Acid Batteries (ULABs) on the environment and advance the need for environmental preservation. MLI joined the Program in 2016 and since then, the company has continuously raised funds that were utilized to support education, community, and other socio-economic projects.

In 2018, MLI’s first Balik Baterya project was the donation of reading nooks to 6 Kindergarten classrooms and 100 pupils provided with lunch packs in Balara Elementary School, Quezon City.
